Receiving Notifications

How to get text and/or email notifications from Productive Parks and troubleshooting if you are not getting them.

Productive Parks has the capability to send you notifications in certain instances, including:

  • When a task is assigned to someone, and the Send Notification button is checked.
  • A work request comes in from a person (not an inspection). The notification goes to the asset manager of the asset in the work request.
  • A work request you create gets completed or denied.
  • When completing a task, staff fills in the Staff Notes box and checks Notify Supervisor. The notification goes to the person who created a task.

Productive Parks is designed to limit the amount of email & text message "noise" coming to you. The idea is for staff to log in each day and use their dashboard. Text and email alerts generally come when something needs more immediate attention.

Setting Up Notifications

When setting up or modifying a user, you can choose the preferred communication method and add the contact information.

Troubleshooting Notifications

Here are some things to try if notifications are not working for you:

  • Make sure the email address and phone number are correct in the user settings.
  • Make sure the appropriate communication method is chosen.
  • If you are getting text notifications but not emails, check your spam filter or your IT department for firewall settings.
  • If you are not getting work requests from specific assets, make sure you are a designated asset manager of that asset.
  • If you are not getting notified about new tasks (usually tasks created on the same day), make sure the supervisor is checking the Send Notification box.

  • If you are a maintenance staff sending a notification about a task, the notification will go to the person who created the task, not your designated supervisor.
