You can set a "hours type" for the hours you submit. When you define hours types you can set a multiplier such as 1.5x for time-and-a-half rate. These will be multiplied by the staff's hourly rate to get actual pay rates for hours entered.
There is a default "Regular" hours set for each agency. If you do wish to have different hours types to choose from, follow these steps:
- Under the Setup menu, click "Hours Types".
- On the Hours Types Dashboard click "Create New Hours Type".
- Fill out the form giving a name and a multiplier to the new hours type. If the pay rate is the same as regular, put 1. If it is a higher rate, put 1.5x for time-and-a-half or 2 for double time or whatever the correct multiplier is.
- The hours type will be active as soon as you create it unless you inactivate it at creation. One pay rate must be set as a default at all times. Normally this will be "Regular" but you can change it by setting a different type to be the default.
