Determining the Appropriate Roles for Your Management Staff
Adminstrators can view everything that is going on with the team. They see all staff, all incoming work orders, and can assign tasks to any licensed users. They can also create assets, conduct inspections, and edit almost anything in the system.
Supervisors see information that is specific to them and their team.
In addition to everything that a maintenance user can do, a supervisor can:
- Assign tasks, inspections, and work orders to users they supervise.
- Create scheduled tasks. Edit and maintain scheduled tasks they created.
- Create buckets and bucket tasks for users they manage.
- View and assign work requests for assets they manage.
- Create quick assignments for easier task assigning.
- Create projects to track work requiring multiple tasks.
- Build inspections and edit the ones they created.
- Use a more robust reporting dashboard
A supervisor can not:
- Create new assets or modify existing assets they do not manage.
- Add or modify task categories and types.
- Modify work, expenditure, or hours types menus.
Ensuring Correct Supervisor Setup
For your supervisors to have access to all the information they need, make sure:
- Appropriate staff report to the supervisor in the user settings.
- Supervisor is the asset manager of any assets they need to see work requests (assets can have multiple asset managers if necessary).
